Holly Lodge offers award-winning luxury bed and breakfast accommodation in the quiet North Norfolk village of Thursford Green. Based around a former farmhouse dating back over 200 years, Holly Lodge features superbly designed guest cottges in the old stable block with wonderful gardens and a magnificent conservatory for you to relax in. Just five miles from the famous North Norfolk Coast, we are surrounded by unspoilt countryside, historic houses and pretty towns and villages.

Our guest rooms are very stylish and comfortable, full of unexpected extra touches. The gardens are delightful, featuring a pond and decking area and lots of hidden corners to relax in, making Holly Lodge perfect for a few quiet days away.

At the same time, it's an excellent base for exploring and enjoying all the local area has to offer. The Thursford Collection with its well-known Thursford Christmas Spectacular Show, is on the doorstep. A short car journey (or reasonable bike ride) takes you to the the Georgian market town of Holt, Fakenham Race Course, the bijou shops and restaurants of Burnham Market or the historic religious centre at nearby Little Walsingham. We have bikes to lend you if you want to give car a rest.

The coast is not far away, with sailing, coastal walks, bird-life and Blakeney Point Seal Trips as well as the big beaches at Cley, Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham and Brancaster. The grand estates at Holkham Hall, Felbrigg, Blickling, Houghton Hall and Sandringham are within easy reach and the area is laced with historic sites for those prepared to dig a little deeper. For retail therapy, nearby Georgian Holt is possibly the best small town in England for interesting shopping.

Dine in or eat out

North Norfolk has become so fashionable in recent years that we are now surrounded by some superb restaurants and country pubs. But if you would like to stay in, owners Jeremy and Gillian Bolam will be delighted to cook you a superb three course dinner for only £17.50, including a bottle of wine. Jeremy previously ran the Norfolk landmark Cley Mill for 8 years and before that had his own restaurant in London.

We are the nearest place to stay if you are coming to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and we can also provide a pre-show supper before you go across the road. We have availabilty on the following days:- Nov 9,10,11,12,13,19,21,24,26,27,28 Dec 1,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23

Come to Holly Lodge for a Spring Break and we will give you 3 nights for the price of two. We have already completed most of our annual decorating and spring cleaning so will be open throughout January and February.
